1.1 These requirements cover fixed and stationary power converters and power-converter systems having a ratednominal input of 120,120/240, or 240 volts, alterating current and a nominal output of 24 volts or less, direct currentThese converters are intended for use within lan d vehicles where not directly exposed to outdoor conditions, and areintended to be employed in accordance with the National Electrical Code. NFPA 70.

These inverters are intended for use within land vehicles where nodirectly exposed to outdoor conditions, and are intended to be employed in accordance with the National ElectricaCode.NFPA 70.

1.4 Power converters covered by Part I of this standard are intended for connection to established 15- and 20ampere branch circuits within a recreational vehicle.
Power-in verters covered by Part of this standard are intended for connection to a 12- or 24- volt dc batter1.5supply.
1.5 effective April 13, 1993
1.6 Power-converter systems covered by Part ll of this standard are intended for direct connection to a power-supplyassembly and incorporate means for the connection of a maximum of three line-voltage branch circuits only.
1.7 Power-inverter systems co vered by Part ll of this standard are intended for direct connection to a power-supplassembly and incorporate means for the connection of a maximum of three line-voltage branch circuits only: noincluding the main disconnect.

i1.8 Converters and inverters incorporating provisions for the connection of more than three line-voltage branccircuits are judged under the requirements in Part of this standard and the applicable requirements for a Class CTLpanelboard in accordance with the Standard for Panelboards, UL 67.

A product whose featurescharacteristics, components, materials, or systems conflict with specific requirements or provisions of this standardshall not be judged to comply with this standard , Where appropriate, revision of requirements shall be proposed andadopted in conformance with the methods em ploved for development, revision, and implementation of this standard
