Efective date information is alsoincluded. Attached as Appendix B, C, and D are the Technical Committee membership roster,instructions for completing the Technical Commitee ballot, and the Technical Committee ballot.respectively. Questions regarding interpretation of requirements should be directed to the responsibleUL Staff. Please see Appendix E of this bulletin regarding designated responsibility for the subjectproduct category

UL requests your assistance in identifying other products or industries that might be affected by therequirements contained in this bulletin. UL suggests that all suppliers or customers for these productsand industries be made aware of these requirements prior to their proposed effective date. Also, pleaseforward your suggestions to UL so that these products and industries may be identified in futurebulletins.
Unless specifically requested to do so, UL will not acknowledge comments indicating concurrence withthese proposals.
RATIONALE
The proposed revision to 7.5 intends to make it more clear what is considered an “unnecessary ledgeprojection,or crevice”.

This revision is proposed to be effective upon publication.

7.5 External surfaces shall be free of tnneeessaryany ledges, projections, and crevices te allew easyeleaning and-to facilitate maintenaneethat are decorative or gratuitous and are not reauired for effectivedesian or proper operation of the equipment.
2VIBRATION ENCOUNTERED DURING NORMAL OPERATION
RATIONALE
The effects of normal handling are substantially addressed by the tests described elsewhere in theStandard. The proposed revision is therefore intended to provide specific criteria not otherwiseassessed elsewhere in the Standard.

This revision is proposed to be effective upon publication.PROPOSAL
8.1 A device shall be assembled so that it will not be adversely affeeted by thesubject to unintendedactuator movement due to vibration of normal operation.
