1 Scope
This PAS specifies requirements for facilities for unpowered skateboarding, in-line skating, roller skatingand BMXriding,installed in unsupervised areas. These facilities include manufactureditems such as railsramps and pipes on which a wheeled device such as a skateboard or other roller sport equipment can beused.
It applies to ramps and general riding surfaces, and to fixed and movable streetcourse equipment.It does not apply to competition facilities or to commercially operated facilities.NOTE 1 Annex A.Annex B.Annex C and Annex D give guidance and recommendations concerning the ocation ofthe site, materials.ancillary itemsand inspection and maintenance

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this PAS, the following definitions apply.

facilityarea dedicated to the use of unpowered skateboards, roller skates or similar roller-sport equipment, andBMX cycles, and which comprises a constructed riding surface including ramps and other structures

streetcourse equipmentitems other than half-pipes which may be used for wheeled sports
3.3
competition facility
facilities which are only accessible to a limited circle of people for the duration of a competition under the supervision of the event organizer
