EN 1592-1-1997 pdf download.Aluminium and aluminium alloys HF seam welded tubes Part 1: Technical conditions for inspection and deliveiy.
More than one solution-treatment lot can be induded in a furnace load.
N(YrE. For the heat treatment in a contmitous furnace, the I)rodUcLs heal treated dming a time less than 8 h can be cOI1St(kiCd as belonging to the sanw heat treat iiwnt lot.
3.8 sample
Oiw or more pro(lUCtS taken from an inspection lot. 3.9 specimen
One or more pieces taken from each product in the sample, for the puqse of I)rodtlcing test pieces. 3.10 test piece
A piece taken from each specimen and suitably Prel)ared for the test.
4 Orders or tenders
The order or tender shall define the product required and shall contain the following information:
a) the shape and type of the product round, square, rectangular or shaped 1W seam welded ahuninium tube;
b) description of the material: alloy and metallurgical condition. The latter is shown by the symbol for the heat and/or mechanical treatment given to the material (see EN 515, EN 573-3 and EN 1502-2); c) the dimensions of the product:
– diameter or width across flats;
– wall thickness;
— length;
(1) quantity:
— mass in kilograin.s or tolules;
— number of lengths;
e) any requirements for inspection documents; 1) any special requirements agreed between the producer an(I pL1rcl)aSel
g) surface finish coiilition: unless otherwise agreed the tubes shall l)e supplied in a null fnii.sh condition; oilier suiface finishes can be specified, if applicable, such as 1)aulte(l, Lacquered or antxlized;
Ii) special packaging and deliVery reqniremdnLs (when’ applicable):
— ship freight packaging;
— unit mass of non—standard packages;
— staggering of (k’hVely intervaLs;
I) in the case of coated I IF welded tubes, the coating shall be s1wciuied by agreement l)etween pnxlucer and purchaser with reference to the relevant Stafl(lards.
j) in tin’ case of etched tubes, the 1)r(xhLcer and the purchaser shall agree the (lilnenslons and tolerances.
5 Requirements
5.1 Quality control
The producer is responsible for the ix’rfomianee of all inspection and tests required by the relevant European Standard and/or the particular .specification, prior to shipment of the pro(IncL If the purchaser wishes to inspect, the product at the producer’s works, he shall notify the producer at the time of placing the order.
5.2 Metallurgical condition
The metallurgical cofl(htiofl shall be in accordance with EN 1502-2 and EN 515.
53 Chemical composition
The chenucal coml)osltlon of the alloy shall comply
sitli EN 573-3.
1’he ahimuuiun alloys most conUnonly used for manufacturing the tubes defined in clause 3 are (hvlded in two classes as follows:
– class A: EN AW-3004, EN AW-3O(, EN AW-3 103, EN AW-5005, EN AW-5040, EN AW-5049, EN AW-5083, EN AW-5086, EN AW-5251, EN AW-5454, EN AW-5754, EN AW7O75;
– class B: EN AW-3003, EN AW-3 105, EN AW-5052, EN AW-5IMB, EN AW-45082, EN AW-7012.
Class A and B are defined in EN 573-4.
5.4 Mechanical properties
1IW choice of alloy and comlition shall 1w those made’ by the I)urchaser with regard to the jntende(l application. The mechanical properties shall be iii confomuty with EN 1592-2. Special mechanical Pft)Pet11(S be tgit’ed be’&(tI producer and purchaser ud stated on the order.
5.5 Freedom from defect.s
The surface of tubes shall be smooth and free from harmful defects. hF seam welded alullUfliLilu tubes may be supplied lightly oiled unless otherwise agreed between the producer and l)Lirchaser and stated on the order.
6.1.2 ChemIcal analysis
11w specinwns for chemical analysis shall be taken at the time of casting. Their shape and conditions of production (mould design, cooling rate, mass, etc.) shall be so designed that their composition is representative for the ca.st and adapted to the nwthod of analysis. At least one specimen shall be I)roded to rel)resent each cast.
The producer quality assurance system shall ensure that there is no mixing of alloys during the process of manufacture, packing and dispatching.
NOTE. A further check of chemical analysis can be undertaken at the discretion of the tube producer on a specimen selected to represent the inspection lot.
6.1.3 Specimen for mechanical testing
6.1.3.1 Location and si.zc
Specimens shall be taken from sample in such a way that it is possible to locate the test piece in reLation to the product. The specimens shall be large enough to allow manufacture of sufficient test pieces for the required tests, and for any rete.sts which may be required.
6.1 .3.2 Orientation of specimens
Tests shall be carried out in the longitudinal direction.
6.1.3.3 1dentfication of specimens
Each specinlen shall be marked in such a manner that, after removal, it is still possible to identify the product from which it was taken and, if required, its location and onentatioli. If, (luring the course of subsequent operations, removal of the markings cannot be avoided, new markhig.s shall be made before the originals are removed.EN 1592-1-1997 pdf download.
