2.8.1 Load Test for Water Closets. All wall-mountedwater closets shall withstand a load of 500 Ibf (2.2 kN)when tested in accordance with para. 7.7.1.

2.8.4 Off-the-Floor Fixture Supports. Fixture supports,when required,shall comply with ASMEA112.6.1M,ASME A112.6.2,r ASME A112.19.12.
3 DIMENSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
31 Tolerances and Dimensions
Vitreous china fixtures shall conform to the applicabledimensions and tolerances given herein. Where nototherwise indicated, tolerances on dimensions of 8 in200 mm)and larger shall be +3%Tolerances on dimensions less than 8 in(200 mm) shall be +5%.Minimumand maximum dimensions given herein (where statedas minimim and/or maximlmm) shall not be subjected toa tolerance bevond the limits given. Where dimensionalranges are specified and the words itinimtum and/ormaximtum do not appear, the upper and lower rangesshall not be considered critical and the appropriate tolerances shall apply All mandatory dimensional requirements shall be as referenced in the body of thisdocument.
32 Water Closets
3.2.1 Outlet Configurations. Outlet configurationsshall conform to the dimensions shown in
(a) Figure 1 for floor-mounted bottom-outlet waterclosets or
(b) Figure 2 for rear-outlet and rear-spigot-outletwater closets
3.2.2 Nonstandard Outlet Configurations. When anoutlet configuration requires a connection other than acloset flange and ring, this connection shall not leakwhen tested in accordance with para. 7.8 and shall beof a design that allows for field repair or replacement.
3.2.3 Mounting Details. The mounting details of wallmounted water closet bowls shall conform to the dimensions shown in Fig.3, sketches (a),(b),and (c), forsiphonic type bowls, blowout type bowls, and two-boltdesigns, respectively. All mounting bolt hole diametersfor wall-mounted water closets shall be in.(22 mmminimum.Elongated bolt holes for accommodatingolder fixture supports shall also be permitted
3.2.4 Roughing-in Details.Water closet outlets shallrough-in at 10,12, or 14 in,(254,305,or 356 mm) or asspecified in the manufacturer’s installation instructions.See Figs.4 and 5.
3.2.5 Toilet Seat Hole Details, Standard water closetseat holes shall be configured as detailed in Figs. 4 and 5.This requirement shall not be applied where proprietaryseats are supplied by the manufacturer
3.3 Trap Seal Depth
The trap seal depth for water closet bowls and urinalsshall not be less than 2 in. (50 mm) when determinedin accordance with para. 8.2.
3.4 Water Surface Area
A water closet bowl shall have a water surface areaof 5 x 4 in(125 x 100 mm) minimum, as measured ona flat and level surface.
3.5 Ball Pass Diameter
The trapway of a water closet bowl shall pass a 1in.(38 mm) minimum diameter solid ball.
