1.0 SCOPE
Purpose: This specification provides a standard for the manufacture, performance, inspection, and procurement of a hot forming, sizing, and straightening press. This standard lists minimum requirements and is not to limit design advances.
Classification: The equipment shall be classified aL press, hydraulic, front and side loading, hot forming and sizing. The presses shall be of the following types and sizes
ype: The customer shall have the option of one of the following types:
Type I – “C” Frame, single action hot form and size.
Type II – “C” Frame, combination double action hot draw form and size.
Type III – Four-post type, single action hot form and size.
Type IV – Hydraulic Press Brake, single action form and size.
