Positioning Mechanism
When the gun and/or the workpiece are movable for the pur-pose of positioning and welding, the positioning mechanismsshall be controlled from outside the chamber. These controlsshall bemounted in a location easily accessible to theoperator while observing the welding
When a movable gun is specified it shall provide sufficientcable and accessory for using the gun in a 90° tilt about theaxis of travel up to the horizontal position. This adjustmentshall be applicable over the entire span of travel.
Positioning mechanism for gun or workpiece shall be zerobacklash type and shall be capable of manual or mechanizedmovement for alignment of beam center line to weld position.
