1. Specification decimal tolerances; .X = ± .03”, .XXX = ± .005”.

3. Location of detent hole locations not to vary more than .004 inch, one to another.
4. Assembly torque requirements per NAS 965. For diameters between .258 inch through .312 inch ranges not covered in NAS 965, use linear interpolation between 75 inch pounds (.258 inch) and 120 inch pounds (.312 inch).

6. Maximum drill diameter .312 inch with brazed assembly.
7. Adapted tools of .172 inches or less shall have an overall length of 3.250 +/–.250 inches and flutes cannot enter the adapter.
8. Concentricity requirements: Assembly Hole (Drill Shank) and Adapter Diameter will concentric within .003 inch FIM
9. Adapters for cobalt drills shall have cobalt identiying ring located between the detent area and the chamfered end of the adapter.
