QUALIFICATION INSPECTION:FOR ALL FITTINGS MANUFACTURED AFTER AUGUST 31, 2007, THE MANUFACTURER SHALL PERFORMQUALIFICATION INSPECTION. THE MANUFACTURER SHALL MAINTAIN ON FILE A QUALIFICATIONINSPECTION REPORT INCLUDING QUANTITY TESTED AND TEST RESULTS. THE REPORT SHALL BEMADE AVAILABLE TO THE PROCURING ACTIVITY AS REQUIRED.ANY CHANGE IN COMPONENTMATERIAL DESIGN, OR MANUFACTURING PROCESS REQUIRES A NEW QUALIFICATION INSPECTIONTO VERIFY PERFORMANCE SPECIFIED HEREIN. A MINIMUM OF TWENTY (20) FITTINGS SHALL BESELECTED AT RANDOM AND TESTED.

THE NOZZLE MUST CONTACTTHE FITTING AT AN ANGLE NOT MORE THAN 15 DEGREES FROM NORMAL AND SHALL APPLY A 25-POUND MAXIMUM LOAD TO THE FITTING PRIOR TO THE DISCHARGE OF GREASE. THE OPENINGPRESSURE OF THE FITTING BALL SHALL NOT EXCEED 225 PSIG.
