3.0 REQUIREMENTS
3.1 General
3.1.1 Requirements of General Packaging Standard NAS 850 are a part of this standard except as noted herein.
3.1.2 Requirement of Silver Tarnish Inhibitor. Packaging Standard NAS 3432 are part of this standard, except as noted herein. In all cases the protection afforded the item shall be contained within the plastic transparent bag.
3.2 Unit Packaging
3.2.1 The quantity per unit package shall be as follows unless otherwise specified by the procurement document:
One (1) each
3.2.2 Protect all exposed or projecting pins, contacts or similar areas with proper size and style of plastic/metal cap or caps, which can be removed and replaced as required.
3. 2. 3 Any loose item or items (except rubber) required per part may be wrapped or bagged and placed in item bag. Rubber item or items shall be wrapped or bagged in opaque material and inserted into item bag. Silver or silver plated devices (such as RF coaxial/connectors) shall be protected with tarnish-inhibitor material applied as specified by the manufacturer of the inhibitor materials.
3. 2. 4 Package item in a suitable size bag fabricated of transparent plastic.
