1 .0 SCOPE
This standard provides a method for the packaging of items requiring preservatives and protection from contamination or surface scratching.

3.0 REQUIREHENTS
3.1 General
3.1.1 Requirements of General Packaging Standard NAS 850 are of this standard except as noted herein.
3.2 U n i t Packaging
3.2.1The quantity per unit package shal] be as folows unless otherwisespecified by the procurement document:
One (1) each or multiple items not.to exceed. ten (10)
3.2,2Apply preservative and select the appropriate wrap described below.Interleave or layer multiple items and package in such a manner thatthey are separated by at least one thickness of material.
3.2,3Wrap with a greaseproof, waterproof,flexible barrier material.greaseproof,waterproof envelope may be used in lieu of a wrap forindividua] items
3.2.4Secure folds or flaps of barrier material3.3Intermediate Packaging
3,3,1Intermediate packaging shall be in accordance with applicable require-ments of NAS 850
3.4Packing
3,4.1Exterior packing shall be in accordance with applicable requirementsof NAS 850
Marking3.5
3,5,1 Unit，intermediate,and exterior containers shall be marked in accordance with applicable requirements of NAS 850
4.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE
4,1 Packages which do not conform to these requirements are subject to rejectionand return to supplier at his expense.
