BS/EN 4832-2018 pdf download.Aerospace series – Adaptor, Pipe coupling 24° Cone up to 35 000 kPa (5 080 psi) Ringlocked fitting and Ring-locked fitting-reducer- Inch Series – Technical specification.
4.8 Thermal shock
Two specimens shall be tested.
Test procedure and acceptation criteria are described in Iso 6773.
Temperatures shall be:
— high temperature: +94 °C (+201 °F);
— low temperature: —40 °C (—40 °F).
4.9 Over tightening
Two speciinn. ciicbiie shall be testyd.
Both sides of the plug in unions shall be tested.
When tightening with 2 times the maximum specified torque given in Table S for sizes —04 to —08 and 1,5 times the maximum specified torque given in table 5 for sizes —10 to —20, there shall be none of the following defects:
— leakage during the proof pressure test;
— gaseous leakage when tested in accordance with 4.2.
4.10 Electrical conductivity
The aim of this test is to measure the electrical conductivity before and after a salt spray test of 28 or
56 days (see 4.11)
Two specimens shall be tested.
A resistance of 10 mfl maximum is permissible between equipment or a manifold and a rigid pipe.
Tightening torque values:
The test specimens shall be assembled with the minimum torque value specified in Table 5 and Table 6.
Electrical conductivity measurement:
Each measurement shall be carried out twice or each test specimen in order to confirm the value.
First test. without plug:
Ohmic resistance shall be measured from equipment to inner cone surface.
Second test. with plug fitted with the minimum torque:
Ohmic resistance shall be measured from equipment to plug.
Milliohmeter with 4 measurement test points can be used with a direct current of 1 A minimum with a measurement accuracy of I %.
The measurements shall be done as above before and after the salt spray test of 28 days or 56 days. 4.11 Salt spray
Unless otherwise specified, a salt spray test as specified in ISO 7137:1995, reference number 1.9, shall be performed with two test assemblies of each size for a minimum of 28 days or 56 days. This specimen will be subjected to conductivity measurement and burst tests according to 4.10 and 4.4.
Sizes to be tested during 56 days are: 04, 06, 08, 10, 12, 16 for high pressure lines and 04, 06, 08, and 10 for low pressure lines,
4.12 Vibration
4.12.1 General
Each test shall be carried out with a part of straight tube connected to the plug-in union. The outer end of the tube will be clamped to the test bench and plugged. The assemblies shall be fihlcd with hydraulic fluid and pressurized to nominal operating pressure. Accelerometers will be placed at the middle of the tube.
No hydraulic leakage or seepage is allowed.
4.12.2 Normal flight conditions
Six assemblies will be tested in accordance with ISO 7137:1995, reference number 2.2. with a vibration level depending on the aircraft area concerned, category T curves (see FIgure 2):
— two assemblies with curves E, El, P (all sizes);
— two assemblies with curves D, Dl, P (all sizes given below);
— two assemblies with curves P, W (sizes give below).
Test procedure used shall be ‘Robust vibration test procedure-fixed-wing aircraft.
Series to be performed are as follow (see Figure 3):
— E. El, P: for wing and wheel well noted Si;
— D, Di, and P: for nacelle and pylon noted S2;
— W and P: for landing gear, engine and gear box noted S3.
According to the areas the plug in unions will be placed in. series are to be performed according to table 12.
4.12.3 Fan blade off event (FBO)
Two assemblies shall be tested.
Test levels and procedure will be defined in a specific way for each plane and area.
4.12.4 Wind milling-sustained engine imbalance
Two assemblies shall be tested.
According to the area the plug-in union will be placed, different wind milling testing curves will have to be performed.
Wind milling qualification shall be performed according to the qualification requirements of aircraft- manufacturer and aircraft type.
4.13 Fire test
When required by the purchaser, plug-in unions shall be fire resistant (5 mm) or fire proof (15 mm) in accordance with ISO 2685. Three specimens shall be tested at the nominal pressure without flow rate (or with the minimal operating flow rate to be defined). The entire plug-in union connection plus a length of tubing shall be subjected to the flame.BS/EN 4832-2018 pdf download.
