EN 6057-2020 pdf download.Aerospace series – Rod-end with bearing EN 4265 in corrosion resisting steel, internal threaded shank -Dimensions and loads, Inch series.
This EN 6057 specifies the characteristics of adjustable rod-ends consisting oI
— a spherical plain bearing, metal to metal, in corrosion resisting steel, wide series (EN 4265)
— a rod-end with internal threaded shank
They are intended for use in fixed or moving parts of the aircraft structure and their control
mechanisms.

4 Requirements
4.1 Configuration, dimensions, tolerances and mass
Configuration, dimensions, tolerances and mass shall be according to Figure 1 and Table 1.
Dimensions and tolerances are expressed in millimeters (inches).
Dimensions and tolerances are measured after surface treatment.
4.2 Surface roughness
Surface roughness shall be according with Figure 1.
Surface roughness is measured before surface treatment.
4.3 Material
Inner ring: see product standard EN 4265
Outer ring: see product standard EN 4265
Rod-end body: see SAE AMS 5643, hardness 35 ≤ HRC ≤ 42
4.4 Surface treatment
Rodend body:
Code T: Passivated according to ISO 8074
Code P: Cadmium plating and chromating according to EN 2133, 10 am to 20 im (400 in to 800 tin)
Bearing: See EN 4265
4.5 Loads and clearance
Loads and clearance shall be in according with Table 3 and Table 4,
4.6 Right or left hand thread
Right or left hand thread shall be according to Table 2.
4.9 Temperature range and lubricant
They shall be used in the temperature range as determined by the grease capability see below.
As they are lubricated by means of the following greases:
— code A: Grease as per MIL-PRF-23827 type 1, operating temperature range —73 °C to 121 °C.
— code B: Grease as per MIL-PRF-81322, operating temperature range —54°C to 177 °C.
In both cases the spherical surface of the outer or inner ring, have to be provided with a dry-film lubricant as per MIL-PRF-46010 or equivalent (anti-seizing protection).
NOTE lInecessary. the code 19005 shall be placed between the description block and the identity block.
6 Marking
Marking shall be according to EN 2424, style A.
7 Technical specification
Technical specification shall be according to EN 6099.
8 Quality management systems
The manufacturer’s operations shall be an approved production organisation for aerospace products and shall demonstrate that It has implemented and is able to maintain a quality management system (e.g. according to EN 9100 or an equivalent aerospace accepted and established quality management system).
The qualification procedure for aerospace standard products (e.g. according to EN 9133 or an equivalent aerospace accepted and established qualification procedure) shall be used and documented according to the specified tests if not otherwise agreed between customer and supplier.EN 6057-2020 pdf download.
