Verify after the test that the MDF is not in a coupled position or will not operate with a false credential. It is not necessary to operate the MDF after the test with the correct credential.
6.8.12 Attack by vibrations test
The MDF shall meet vibration attack requirements specified in 4.8.12 and Table 6.
This test is to verify that the MDF is resistant against attacks caused by vibrations direct to MDF and device visible after mounted on the fixture.
Two MDFs shall be tested by two testers, one sample each. Both samples shall be tested successfully.
The MDF shall be mounted in a fixture with provision for the fitting of any necessary reinforcement or protection devices supplied with the MDF. This test rig should conform to the installation of the MDF in practice.
A manual attack shall be performed using the tools out of tool set for vibration specified In Annex 13 to bring the MDF to a coupled status.
The test shall be carried out in a way that the hits give no visible marks on the objects that can be related to the vibrations. Evidence of manipulation shall not be visible to the naked eye.
Verify after the test that the MDF is not in a coupled position or will not operate with a false credential. It is not necessary to operate the MDF after the test with the correct credential.
6.8.13 Protection against the effects of cutting cables
The MDF shall meet the effect of cutting cables requirements specified in 4.8.13 and Table 6.
This test is to verify that the actuator shall not move from an uncoupled to a coupled position by simultaneously disconnecting or short-circuiting the appropriate wires of one cable and checking the status of the locking mechanism and its operational parts.
Verify after the test that the MDF is not in a coupled position or will not operate with a false credential. It is not necessary to operate the MDF after the test with the correct credential.
6.8.14 Protection against the effects of wire manipulation
The MDF shall meet the effects of wire manipulation requirements specified in 4.8.14 and Table 6.
This test is to verify that the actuator shall not move from an uncoupled to a coupled position by using electrical fast transient/burst immunity test and surge immunity test.
Performance shall be checked by applying transients/bursts as described in EN 610004-4 and EN 6 1000-4-5 with levels specified in Table 6, to selected wires and checking the MDF is not in the coupled status during the test.
Verify after the test that the MDF is nor in a coupled position or will not operate with a false credential. It is not necessary to operate the MDF after the test with the correct credential.
6.8.15 Resistance to electromagnetic manipulation
The MDF shall conform to electromagnetic manipulation requirements specified in 4.8.15 and Table 6. This test is to verify that the actuator shall not move from an uncoupled to a coupled position by using radiated radio4requency electromagnetic field.
Testing shall be carried out as described in EN 61000-4-3, with levels as specified in Table 6. Verify during and after the test that the MDF is not in a coupled position or will not operate with a false credential. It is not necessary to operate the MDF after the test with the correct credential.
6.8.16 Resistance to electrostatic manipulation
The MDF shall conform to electrostatic requirements specified in 4.8.16 and Table 6.
This test is to verify that the MDF shall not move from an uncoupled to a coupled status by using high voltage electric discharge.
The discharges shall be pointed to parts accessible from the outside of the MDF when a door is closed.
During the manipulating with electrostatic discharges at the energy levels specified in EN 61000-4-2. and
Table 6 the MDF actuator shall maintain its uncoupled status.
Test the MDF for ungrounded and grounded equipment as follows:
a) polarity: + and -;
b) number of discharges: 5 for each position, voltage and polarity;EN 16867-2020 pdf download.
