This specification outlines the performance requirements for mechanically attached fittings (MAFs) intended for use in piping and tubing systems. 1.4 The tests detailed in Section 13 and elaborated upon in Annex A1 and the Supplementary Requirements Section are solely intended to evaluate the performance characteristics of MAFs. These tests should not be used for assessing non-MAF products.
1.5 Supplementary Requirement S7 specifies a fire performance test, providing general guidelines to assess the behavior of MAFs under fire conditions. This test is not intended for the evaluation of non-MAF products.
