1 . SCOPE.
1 .1 Purpose. This specification establishes the requirements for procurements of taper shank threaded fasteners. These taper shank fasteners are products of licensed manufacturers.
1 .2 Classification. The fasteners covered by this specification shall be the type, size and material designated by the part number specified on the applicable NAS standard.
Type I – 1 00º Countersunk Head Pin (NAS1724, NAS1 725)
Type II – Protruding Head Pin (NAS1 728, NAS1 729)
1 .3 Unless otherwise specified, part inventory manufactured to previous revisions of the applicable standard or drawing and this specification may be procured and used until stock is depleted.
2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS. The following documents, of the issue in effect on date of invitation for bids or request for proposal, form a part of this specification to the extent specified herein.
